Announcing Sponsors for Global Black Pride 2022

Helping to Celebrate All Black LGBTQI Diversity and Excellence

Toronto, Canada: We are proud to announce our sponsors for the Global Black Pride (GBP) 2022 on July 27th -31st in Toronto, Canada. BGP 2022 convenes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer and Intersexed (LGBTQI) people of African decent from around the world to uplift contributions from the diaspora. In collaboration with Pride Toronto and Blackness Yes!, this week-long event challenges social inequities with a human rights conference, promotes health and wellness with a global village health zone as well as enjoyment through social gatherings and artistic expressions.

Our headline sponsor TD Bank and platinum sponsor Gilead have given generously to GBP. We also would like to announce Flow Alkaline Spring Water, Outright Action International, Viiv Healthcare, Redbull, Metrolinx  and Grindr as sponsors for GBP 2022. We thank you for your support. All contributions will go to event production and event logistics that  will make GBP 2022 successful.

“I cannot express how grateful we are to our sponsors.” Said Micheal Ighodaro, President & Founder of GBP. “These partnerships are integral to the success of this year’s Global Black Pride alongside our community partnership with Toronto Pride and Blackness Yes!.We look forward to welcoming everyone to Toronto this July.  These funds will directly help Black and African people  from all parts of the world celebrate our authentic selves in community. Our myriad of expressions will be brought together and shown for everyone to see.”

Founded in 2020: Global Back Pride is the first ever and only activist-led global Pride event that brings together Black LGBTQI communities across all continents to celebrate their culture, diversity and provide a space for activists and community-based organizations across the globe to engage and reflect.
